Santa Maria Della Vittoria
Stands on the site of the former church of San Paolo (1608-20) of the Discalced Carmelites, and was rebuilt for the victory of the Thirty Years War, after the Battle of White Mountain near Prague between 1620 and 1626.
The interior has a nave, offers one of the richest examples of baroque decoration for the richness of marble, stucco and friezes.
The left transept houses, inside the Cornaro Chapel, the sculpture of Bernini’s most poetic: Santa Teresa transfixed by the love of God.
