THE SENATE, FREE VISITS ON THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
Every first Saturday of the month Palazzo Madama, the seat of the Upper Chamber of the Italian Parliament, the Senate, is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tours, which are completely free of cost, are run by the Senate’s staff who also take visitors to see the very rooms where much of Italy’s history has been made. The visits provide a unique opportunity to discover one of Rome’s most fascinating buildings.

Palazzo Madama may only be visited by collecting a ticket at the entrance in Piazza Madama No.11 on the same day it is opened to the general public, starting from 8.30 a.m. Each visitor may request , subject to availability, up to four tickets if an adult and one ticket if under 18. Admission every 20 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
