Giacomo Matteotti Square
Via Roma ends in the square dedicated to Giacomo Matteotti (up to 1944 Piazza Vittorio Emanuele), also known locally Old Town Square, which has always been the center of the village until the recent urban expansion of the town to the south-west which led to realization of Piazza V. Veneto. Will converge nine streets.
In the square took place all public events, celebrations and meetings and, at the time of essentially agricultural economy, stopped in the morning masses of laborers for daily work. The front of the block away from the street and Greppe Channel hosts what was the first village fountain built in its present form in 1899 after the construction of the first aqueduct that occurred around 1888.
Particular transformations was the building of Via Roma and Via Anna Maria Buttaoni (ancient Hospital). The block was made by the old Civic Hospital and a church dedicated to St. John the Evangelist annexed thereto. The church was demolished in 1920 and replaced by a static problems for stable homes.
