From 08/12/12 to 09/01/13, the center of the square, next to the obelisk, is home to a monumental reconstruction nativity scene which consists of statues of Peter Cantagalli, over three meters high, built in 1846 for Torlonia who donated to the St. Vincent Pallotti for the Church of S. Andrea della Valle.
Beside the crib stands a quaint Christmas fir donated every year by a different region. This year’s tree, 25 meters high, was donated by the City of Pescopennataro, a town of Molise.
