Basilica of Saint Sebastian Outside the Walls

The archaeological complex of St. Sebastian Outside the Walls is located in the initial part of the Appia Antica, between the second and third mile of the ancient consular road.

The Basilica, originally called “Basilica Apostolorum of Memory”, in honor of SS. Peter and Paul, was dedicated, over the centuries, in St. Sebastian. It was part of the seven churches visited by pilgrims for the jubilee
