Bomarzo and the Monster Park
The surreal Monster Park
Bomarzo , a small town near Viterbbo, is known for Park of Monsters , designed by Pirro Ligorio commissioned by Prince Pier Francesco Orsini: this is a garden where you are sculptures of amazing monsters, animals and mythological works surreal and fantastic: the winged horse over a fountain, a giant turtle with over a woman, the ogre, the war Elephant, the Witch, the Giant and the Leaning House are just some of the most representative examples.
In the park there are many inscriptions illustrative and benches placed along the route to allow breaks for pleasant and entertaining walks.
