The French National Church
The French National Church, founded by Cardinal Giulio de ‘Medici (later Pope Clement VII) is famous for the three paintings by Caravaggio dedicated to St. Matthew and the frescoes of Domenichino.
The church, from the artistic point of view, it is also an exaltation of France through the representation of its saints and its greatest historical figures. In the facade shows the statues of Charlemagne, St. Louis, St. Clotilde, Saint Joan of Valois
